Description of Rotary Valve

A rotary valve is a mechanical device used to control the flow of bulk materials or gases through a system, consisting of a rotating rotor with pockets inside a housing. As the rotor turns, materials enter through the inlet, fill the pockets, and are discharged through the outlet while maintaining a seal to prevent leakage. Commonly used in pneumatic conveying, dust collection, and material feeding systems, rotary valves provide consistent and controlled flow, handle a wide range of materials, and are built to endure harsh industrial environments. Their efficiency and durability make them essential in various industrial applications.
